IF there is any possibility that you will use more than one computer...pay station, bar...then buy the license for 5 version and set up a server with work stations. This program is rock solid, easy to set up, intuitive, does all accounting you need, can be used to process credit cards, etc. It is very easy to set up items (inventory for sale), etc. I have used QB since I first started my own business 9 years ago...upgrading along the way to newer editions. QB handles my business (Mail Order, taking as many as 100 orders a day, and has no problem handling a 4 million dollar/year business. Very easy, very quick, easy to get reports anytime I want them, easy to see what is in the bank account, etc. Any decent computer will handle it just fine. You do not need the latest and greatest computer.. I work with a Win 2000NT server, XP and WIN 98 2nd for terminals (9 terminals all together, but only use 5 at any one time). QB handles it all easily. Good luck with your new business.
