Disabled. NO income.House is being sold for past doe taxes. Help me find financial aid?
I have been trying for social security for five years. My doctors say I can t work and I know I can t work, But social security doctors say I can. My house is over due on back taxes of $1800.00 for the past four years. I need a loan or financial assistance from some place. Please help me find someone who cares and will help.

ItsTheGr81: I don't know what the extent of your disability is, but there are jobs out there for people with disabilities. Can you not work or do you use your disability as an excuse to not have to?
I'm not presuming anything as I don't know exactly the disability, but social security doctors are generally very lenient.

rockEsquirrel: Contact a mortgage loan company and request a reverse mortgage. They can lend based on your home's value.

horselvr: well first off.....do you have any family members or close friends that can loan you the money?? if not, what percent are you disabled? are we talking physical disabled your whole life, or an injury that has caused you to become disabled? some jobs, honestly, will hire you if you are under a certain percentage disabled. my mom had injured herself once and was 40% disabled according to her doctor but then regained some of it and can work now. if none of that helps maybe try to get a loan from a bank or that cash call thing.

francesois: Dear Friend,
If you file for bankruptcy (it certainly sounds like you qualify), you will be able to preserve certain assets including (possibly) your house.

Celeste: You need to get a lawyer. There are a lot of law firms that directly handle Social Security denials. Most lawyers will not charge you any money unless you win your case. Even then, depending on your state, the lawyers can only deduct a set amount for their fees. Plus, you can get retro-active pay (back pay for previous years); Back pay is usually for one year but could be more depending on your state's laws.
Don't forget to apply for SSI too.
Binder & Binder (as seen on tv) are SSD advocates. Their website is pretty informative.
