I joined a band last year, can I deduct expenses on my tax return as a subcontractor?
Will the band have to have a corporate tax return to fully realize the above question?

The answer is going to depend on whether or not the band has formally organized and, if so, what form of organization (i.e., S corp, corporation, LLC) it is. Further, you'll have to look at how your income from the band is derived, whether as an employee, shareholder/member, or a subcontractor.
