What accounting program can I use for my new small business?
What accounting program can I use for my new small business?
Since I started my small designs business, I'm putting a lot of effort on my product. Thanks to the magic of good referrals, I'm getting more customers.
I was outsourcing accounting, but it is not as dynamic as I want it to be. I'm thinking on buying accounting software, but I don't know what program is the most appropriate for me.
Can somebody with small business experience please give me some advice?
Thanks!

botygy: I like Quickbooks. Spring the extra money for the Pro or Premiere edition--more bells and whistles.

lisaj_lou: QuickBooks is very good. Very user friendly. We were in the same situation a few years ago, and that's what we used. We used the online version but it's cheaper to buy it outright. We used the online version because I wanted to be able to use it at home and at work. They have a great payroll system too. Hope this helps!

sdn90036: Look at either Quickbooks or Peach Tree accounting software. These are both very popular.
Good luck.

Wendy Jean: My husband and I are also business owners. I was using MYOB, which I liked, the only thing I didn't like was I couldn't send my information into Excel or send my whole file to my accountant, which Quickbooks is capable of both. So I am now using Quickbooks for Contractors 2008. They have several programs to use from, my advice is to go to their website, you can take a short quiz to see which program best suits your needs. Good Luck.
