like one day 700 and next week 300 shares ; then how to reflect it on 1099-B
its asking for date, should u put VARIOUS or should you put the exact date, (because they all were purchased on one day)

Report transactions involving regulated futures or foreign currency contracts on an aggregate basis." The date for box 1a is "Date of sale or exchange", and you have 2 stock sale dates, therefore, two 1099-B's.

Judy: You should put the actual date of purchase since they were all bought on the same day. You'd show the two sales on separate lines of schedule D.
