Tax HELP !!!?
I started filing my tax return through turbotax and its saying I owe $2626 after its all said and done. I'm living paycheck to paycheck here. I work 6 days a week to make ends meet I don't understand how the government says I should be even poorer. Anyone know what I can do? This is bull$h%t

JonFr3: The BS is that either you did your taxes wrong or you didn't take out enough taxes or withholding in your paycheck. You spent the money you should be paying in the system. File a new W-4 with your employer. Oh btw if your tax liability is that high, either you didn't withhold any taxes or you make lots and lots of money and since you are living paycheck to paycheck, you spend too much money.

kathykoul: As the saying goes, it is what it is. You don't state if you are a regular w-2 employee or a 1099 worker. If you are a w-2 employee then you really need to go to payroll and fill out a new w-4 to make sure you adjust your withholding. If you are a 1099 worker than you should be making estimated payments throughout the year because no taxes are coming out of your income. Without you providing any actual details there's not a whole lot of advice anyone can give you.
