Bridgewater Betty:  She isn't running for office. Tax returns can't possibly show anything good for anyone, in my opinion. Someone will think you cheat on your taxes, someone else will think that you make too much money, someone else will think something else negative. There's just nothing good that can come of it. I wouldn't open mine either. In fact, *especially* not mine :)
