Anyone who knows anything about tax, PLEASE HELP?
Last year in september i started what i thought was a plumbing apprenticeship, but it turns out it wasnt an apprenticeship, i ended up self employed. Then i was laid off in january and been out of work since. Now i need to send off my receipts that i paid my 20% tax off or something and i dont have them and cant get hold of the bloke who does. i definitely paid tax as i lost 20% off every pay slip, but im really worried now as i have no proof. Im only 17, and i havent got the slightest clue!

Petrusclavus: No CIS certificates - go direct to Citizens Advice Bureau. The "employer" has vanished, no NI credited. Either CAB or tell HMRC and let them start an investigation.
